Privacy policy

Maple Lens is a product of Maple Studios, a Delhi-based design and technology company. This policy applies to maplelens.app and the Maple Lens web app.

What we collect

Account data. When you sign up we store your email, name, and (optional) company name in our user database. Passwords are stored hashed by our auth provider and are never visible to us in plain text.

Uploaded photos. Photos you upload for generation are stored in our private encrypted object storage in Mumbai. Only you (when signed in) and our service can read them.

Generated images. Every output we produce for you is saved against your account so you can revisit, rate, share, and download it.

Prompts and AI logs. The full prompt sent to the image model — plus the model used, latency, retry count, and any safety/finish signals — is logged against your account. We use these logs to diagnose failures, improve quality, and tune presets. They are not shared with third parties.

Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not run advertising or cross-site trackers.

What we do with it

• Operate the service — generate images, run the catalog builder, deliver downloads.
• Diagnose and fix failures via the error log and the AI generation log.
• Improve the product — for example by reviewing aggregate prompt patterns to retune presets.
• Send transactional email (password resets, paywall messages, support replies via Resend).

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your uploads to train a third-party model.

Where it lives

Account and image data is hosted in our managed Postgres in Mumbai. Generation requests are sent to Google’s Gemini API. Outbound email runs through Resend. These providers each have their own privacy posture; we rely on them as sub-processors.

How long we keep it

• Account data: for the lifetime of your account.
• Photos and generations: until you delete them, or for 30 days after a soft-delete (a daily purge job removes them permanently).
• AI generation logs: retained for two years for quality and debugging; then archived or removed.
• Account-deletion request: when you delete your account from Account ’Danger zone, we erase your profile, your storage objects, and your AI generation logs.

Your rights

India’s DPDP Act and analogous laws elsewhere give you the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data. You can do all of this from the in-app Account area. If something doesn’t work, email hello@maplelens.app and we’ll resolve it within seven days.

Children

Maple Lens is a B2B tool. We don’t direct it at anyone under 18 and we don’t knowingly accept their data.

Changes

If we update this policy we’ll bump the effective date at the top and email account holders when the change is material.
